Loren Chasse's
synthesis of neglected places
a recreation of a dioramic miniature landscape that uses its
materials as instruments while simultaneously attempting to
activate the inherent ambience of the performance space.
Chasse has recently performed at the Rooms for Listening experimental sound festival at CCAC (California College of Arts and Crafts) and will be playing this year's Transmissions Festival in Chicago. His video Fantasy Apparition, done with Eleanor Harwood, was screened at the Not Still Art Internat'l. Experimental Video Festival in New York. His writing on listening to the environment has been featured in Halana magazine and the book Site of Sound: of architecture and the ear. From Spain!
Koji Asano
Powerful but sensitive music created by using a laptop computer and microphone as instruments. By changing the position of the microphones, Asano is able to amplify the movement of sound waves.
